about UM
Urban Molecule is a serial webzine of literature, art and design, and a networking community created by and for invisible artists. UM (a.k.a. “the Molecule”) looks for new ways to look at society, to look at history, to look at ourselves.
We’re a community made for and by invisible artists, and we’re growing. Urban Molecule was created and is edited by Christopher de la Torre.
Urban Molecule brings you:
- Letters from the editor
- Cool columns
- THINKTANK Interviews and other features
- Links to contributor websites
- Contributor news and updates
- The UM Flickr Gallery
- Event listings
- Cover art issued by underground artists
Every three months UM’s got a brand new bag. Classic Hip-hop is our theme come July. Guests over the next few months include film director Benson Lee (Planet B-Boy) and Harlem street artist Bobby Hill is putting together the next Urban Molecule cover.
Keep in the loop. Send us a note and subscribe to our e-list. Keep an eye on your spam/junk folders. Our messages may go there by accident. And don’t forget, it’s also easy for you to give feedback to your favorite contributors - just drop in anytime and leave a comment after a post or on their profile pages. Or you can find out how to submit your work to the Molecule.
